Sea kayaking is a wonderful way to see the natural environment. Explore the coast line as eagles fly overhead and dolphins’ surface beside you. Stop at amazing beaches, only accessible by kayak. Escape for a day or check out the city at night – a great way for friends, family or work colleagues to have an experience together. This activity is adventurous, relaxing, fun and great exercise. A truly unique and safe activity for novices. Because you are in double sea kayaks, only basic fitness is required. Age range 12 – 75 years. Young person must be in a double with an adult.Please Note : You will be required to complete a medical and indemnity form identifying previous medical alignments such as bad back, bad shoulder or bad wrist, pregnancies over 4 months will exclude you from participating in this event on this occasion.





What to Bring… 




  • Suitable clothing for weather conditions on the day




  • Bottle of water




  • Fly repellent




  • Hat




  • Sturdy Shoes – no thongs




  • Sunscreen




  • completed medical and indemnity forms – on the day




  • an inquisitive nature and a happy disposition – you may even leave with a smile and fond memories !

Alexandra Gardens, Melbourne : 7 boathouse drive, Main Yarra Trail – riverside, (next to Richmond rowing club) opposite Federation square and south side of the river. Best to catch public transport a tram or train or walk 400m – 5min) as very limited parking and duration at meeting location.

Sea kayaking is a wonderful way to see the natural environment. Explore the natural Altona Coastal park and Kororiot Creek. Escape for a day and explore the nearby Jawbone Marine Sanctuary …. look out for some of the shorebirds that have travelled all the way from Siberia to call the Kororoit Creek estuary home over our summer …. a great way for friends, family or work colleagues to have an experience together. 


This activity is adventurous, relaxing, fun and great exercise. A truly unique and safe activity for novices.


Because you are in double sea kayaks, only basic fitness is required.


NB This Event is only suitable for people 14yrs and over.
