Join us at Rye Pier for the sxith Seaside Scavenge beach clean and trade the trash you collect for coffees, food and stylish second-hand clothes!This is a community run event is to raise awareness of plastic pollution, connect like-minded people and help motivate our community towards reducing our disposable plastic footprint on Port Phillip Bay. There will be incredible prizes from local businesses to be won, such as a double pass dolphin and seal swim, talks on plastic pollution from local NGOs, plus workshops on how to upcycle everyday waste into useful items. Come clean the beach as a community and trade the trash you collect for pre-loved clothes, food, drinks and more. Exchange trash for treasure and help clean-up our environment.Meet Captain Trash, join a workshop, enter the Sculpture and Arts competition with some rad prizes from local businesses there’s face painting too! Let’s spread the reuse love and learn about a #Zerowaste lifestyleAge range 1-100 years. Children under 16 years of age must be supervised by an accompanying adult.Join us to clean the beach and be part of Rye’s inspiring summer festival!
