Description:

Explore the secret life of the plants and animals around us. Discover how different plants and animals survive through what they eat, where they live, their behaviours and how they interact.

This activity is suitable for children aged 6-12, who must be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over.

Please bring binoculars if you have them, water, sunscreen, insect repellent, and wear enclosed shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather. Closest toilets and shops are located in Princetown.

Activities may be rescheduled, changed or cancelled due to adverse weather or for emergency response. Your host will be in touch if this is the case.

Involves walking tracks with some steps.

LOCATION: The activity will be held beside the Gellibrand River. Activity meeting point is located down beside the Gellibrand River at the Picnic Area and boat ramp. On Old Coach Road right at the Gellibrand River bridge. Preferred parking is in Princetown with a short walk down along the Princetown Wetlands boardwalk (approx. 300m). There is some parking located at the site. Old Coach Rd is off the Great Ocean Road near Princetown. Follow the signs to the Princetown Recreational Reserve and Camping Ground. Please DO NOT attempt to access the site from the other end of Old Coach Road as that section is a 4WD track.
