Description:

Marine Care Ricketts Point and  Victorian National Parks Association (VNPA) present an introduction to snorkelling plus ‘Sea Slug Census’ : for experienced people 18 Jan 2020 - Beaumaris.

Previous Snorkelling experience is essential.

A one-hour introduction to the delightful fish and other marine life, reefs and seagrasses of the Teahouse Reef in the Sanctuary.

Much to see there in the way of colourful algae and local fish, perhaps even a basking Fiddler Ray.

You must have own mask, snorkel, fins and 5mm wetsuit. Unfortunately, no spare equipment available for lend.

Event dependent on suitable weather conditions and subject to cancellation.


BOOKINGS ESSENTIAL

Participants must arrive at 8:15am and be ready by 8.30 am, for important safety briefing.  

Must specify Snorkelling experience level and be a confident swimmer.

Must have own equipment – snorkel, mask, fins and 5 mm wetsuit.  Unfortunately, no spare equipment available for lend.

This event is suitable for all ages. Children under 14 years old require adult supervision in the water at all times. Adults must supervise their children from in the water (not from shore)

Please Note : Parking ticket or Bayside Parking Permit required in beach carpark.

Alternatively, use free street parking or public transport - limited carparking available.
