Marine Care Ricketts Point present: Coastal Photography. Trying to take that perfect sunset snap or rockpool wonder shot, but can’t quite capture the natural beauty? Join Marine Care Ricketts Point’s local photographer Robert Gardiner, on an introductory session to coastal photography. The activity takes place on the edge of the locally renowned Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary.

Never seen before photography… by you. This session is aimed at beginners for coastal and marine photography. It will include very shallow underwater photography (ie arm depth in the rockpools).

Age range 12 - 75 years. Children under 16 years of age must be supervised by an accompanying adult.

What to Bring...

• Your own camera (point and shoot, waterproof recommended)
• Knowledge of your own camera - please have read the operational manual prior to the event
• Umbrella to avoid reflections on the water of rockpools (Optional)
• Please note – a small number of beginner cameras are available.
• If you need to borrow, please bring on own SD card - a 1GB or 2GB
• Wear a broad-brimmed hat and sunscreen
• Closed toe footwear - ie sandshoes. Shoes suitable for wading. No thongs.
• Shorts preferred or prepare for wet trouser legs.
• Bottle of water
• Fly repellent
• Snacks
• a happy disposition, an inquisitive nature and a smile!

Bayside beach carpark B18, head towards Beaumaris Life Saving Club, Ricketts Point,

Meet on the grass outside the Beaumaris Life Saving Club. Look for marquee.

Please Note : Parking ticket or Bayside Parking Permit required in beach carpark. Alternatively, use free street parking or public transport.
