Description:

- Discover the connection that exists between rivers, estuaries and the sea . We will demonstrate how sand can stop a river by doing EstuaryWatch monitoring and measuring the size of the sand berm on the beach. We will learn about the EstuaryWatch program and how people can get involved in water quality monitoring. Afterwards we will finish off with an activity demonstrating why estuaries are special – in particular for the lifecycle of the short-finned eel.
